treatment and recovery. They are open to anyone diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones.
Check the calendar for upcoming educational events and programs.
Nutrition Classes
These monthly classes offer a great opportunity to learn about eating and preparing nutritious
food. You'll learn from Noelle Butler, ND, an expert in nutrition for during and after cancer treatment,
and Mary Meier, an expert in nutritional analysis and creative ways to bring healthy food into
your daily menu plans.
Sessions rotate between a lunch series, cooking classes, and/or evening seminars. Examples
include: "Cooking with Super Foods," "All about Supplements," and "Omega 3: What it means to you."
Also, check our calendar for cooking classes.
Look Good, Feel Better, American Cancer Society
Look Good, Feel Better is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral, national public service program
to help individuals with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem and manage their treatment
and recovery with greater confidence. Come learn about skin care, makeup and hair care.
Check our calendar for Look Good, Feel Better classes.
Health Promotion
We offer a variety of programs to help educate and encourage those going through cancer
treatment to engage in healthy behaviors. Program examples include: "Ask the Oncologist" with
Dr. Hensold and "Catching some ZZZ's" with Dr. Virginia Pascual. Check our calendar for Health Promotion classes.
Wigs
This new program offers those in cancer treatment to try on and experiment with wearing a
wig. Licensed cosmetologists and volunteers help you choose the right wig and provide
education on how to care for your new wig. Wig trimming is also available at CSC, by
appointment. To schedule, please call the CSC at 582-1600.
